■ Linguistic requirements
Language proficiency requirements:
(A) Applicants come from non-Chinese speaking regions shall produce either a certificate of proficiency in Chinese language, or proof of the completion of a Chinese language course.
(B) Prior to graduation, all admitted freshmen shall either take TNNUA's intensive summer English course and pass the assessment examination, or pass the test of any English language course at the same level as the TNNUA course.
Those who meet any of the following conditions will be exempted from the Chinese-language course:
(1) A computerized TOEFL score exceeding 213, or a TOEFL-ITP score of at least 550; (2) A TOEIC score exceeding 750; (3) CEF Level B2 or higher; (4) having passed the preliminary examination of General English Proficiency Test in High-Intermediate Level; (5) an IELTS score exceeding 5.5; (6) A foreign national from an English-speaking region (e.g., U.K., Canada, U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, the Philippines, Singapore, etc.); (7) A foreign national from non-English-speaking regions who proves the regular education he/she received was conducted mostly in the English language.

■Required Documentation
Documents required for applications: (according to the each published year's school admission brochure)
(A) 1 completed copy of Personal Information Form;
(B) 2 completed copies of Admission Application Form (each affixed with a 1-inch half-body photograph without any headwear);
(C) 1 photocopy of your passport, or any other document that proves your nationality;
(D) 1 completed copy of affidavit;
(E) 1 photocopy each of the applicant’s highest education certificate and a copy of the certificate translated into Chinese (must be certified with the official sealed of an overseas R.O.C. liaison office);
(F) 1 photocopy of the applicant's annual academic record (transcript) supplied by his/her highest-learning institute, and certified with the official seal of an overseas R.O.C. liaison office (Note: transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be translated into Chinese and certified, including a seal, by an R.O.C. liaison office);
(G) 1 copy of Study Plan in English or Chinese;
(H) 2 Letters of Recommendation;
(I) 1 copy of Proof of Financial Ability issued by a financial institution and certified by an overseas R.O.C. liaison office that proves the applicant is sufficiently funded to pursue studies in Taiwan (Note: the document must be enclosed in an envelope addressed to TNNUA);
(J) 1 completed copy of Statement of Health Form (including HIV test results);
(K) Other documents required for an applicant's qualification for the desired major(s), as stated in the degree brochures;
(L) An applicant who used to possess dual nationalities shall submit 1 photocopied Forfeited Nationality Permit Certificate issued by the Ministry of the Interior, R.O.C., or any other evidence that proves his/her forfeiture of non-R.O.C citizenship.
