You are NOT eligible to apply as a foreign studnet if one of the followings fits your situation :
1. You have ROC (Taiwan) nationality. According to Article 2 of the Law of Nationality, a person who belongs to one of the following categories is considered to be of ROC nationality:
(1) A person whose father or mother was, at the time of the person's birth, a citizen of ROC.
(2) A person born after the death of his (her) father or mother who was, at the time of the parent's death, a citizen of ROC.
(3) A person born in the territory of ROC and whose parents are both unknown or are stateless.
(4) A naturalized person.
2. You were of ROC nationality, but it has been less than eight years since the date on which your ROC nationality was undefined revoked by approval of the Ministry of Interior. The lapse time is counted up till the date when classes begin for the semester you are seeking adminission.
3. You have the overseas Chinese status, or have applied for admission as an overseas Chiense at any university colleges in Taiwan, ROC.
4. You are of Hong Kong or Macau or People's Republic of China nationality.
5. You have obtained a high school degree as a foreign student in ROC. However, this restriction does not apply to foreign students who graduate from a school for foreign residents located in ROC, or from a bilingual division (program) affiliated with a senior high school in ROC.
6. You have been expelled by a university or college or with drop-out records in ROC.
