Rules Governing For Incoming Exchange Students Studying in Tainan National University of the Arts

                                                                     

1. These Rules are drawn up to govern matters relating to incoming exchange students studying in this school.

2.  The incoming exchange students ("the students") mentioned above refer to students recommended by home schools that have signed an agreement of cooperation with this school.

3.  Prospective students shall submit the following to their home schools, which shall forward them to the Office of International Affairs of this school by the 15th of May for the fall semester entry, and  15th of October for the spring semester entry for processing. Once approved by relevant departments (institutes) with elevant administrative offices notified, the applicants shall be issued an admission permit.

    When applying for admission, a student shall submit the following:
    (1) An admission application form.
    (2) Proof of enrollment in the home school the student currently studies in or a valid student ID.
    (3) Two recommendation letters and consent from the mobility officer of the student from the home institution the student currently studies in.
    (4) A health certificate from the hospital.
    (5) The student shall complete enrollment and submit proof of health insurance covering the period of study in Taiwan within 2  
          weeks after school begins.
    (6) A study plan.
    (7) Any and all documentation required by the department (institute) the student enrolls in.

4. In the event of discrepancies in personal information provided by students, information indicated in passports shall apply.

5. Fees payable by the students shall be those agreed upon in the MOU of the two schools or as decided in accordance with this 
    school's relevant regulations.

6. The maximum period of exchange study at this school is one academic year, and it cannot be extended.

7. The departments (institutes) the students enroll in shall assist them in selecting the courses they will take. They shall be issued by 
    this school with a proof of grades earned on completion.

8. The students' conduct while studying in this school shall conform to this school's regulations and relevant ROC laws.

9. Foreign exchange students shall have in the same access to this school's facilities as that enjoyed by their Taiwanese counterparts.

10. The departments (institutes) in which the students enroll shall provide them with needed assistance and review their  
     performance. The Academic Affairs Division shall handle matters regarding selection of courses the students take and their   
     grades. The Student Affairs Office shall deal with problems students encounter in their daily life and insurance matters. The 
     Office of International Affairs shall be responsible for communication with the students' schools in their home countries.

11. These Rules shall take effect after being passed and announced by an administrative meeting. The same applies in the event of 
     any revision.
